The backing and batting are required to be 8 inches longer
and wider than your quilt top. For example...if your quilt
measures 48” x 90”, the backing and batting need to be at
least 56’ x 98”.

Cut all loose threads. Dark threads behind a light colored
fabric will detract from your quilts appearance

Press the quilt top and backing.
Press backing seams open.
Fold and hang it on a hanger.

Do not baste or pin it together.

If the fabrics of your quilt top have been washed, be sure
to wash your backing and sashing. If your batting is all
cotton and you do NOT like the puckered look (cotton will
shrink a bit when washed), pre-wash your batting.
